FROYO Week: Cinnamon Roll Frozen Yogurt

Yep, you read that right. This week at Just Another Day in Paradise it is FROYO week. Uh, YUM.

I have been frozen yogurt obsessed lately. Just ask anyone who has been within any vicinity of me in the last three weeks.

Who knew there were so many yummy possibilities of homemade frozen yogurt. I had so much fun coming coming up with some of my own original flavors and tweaking some pintrest found recipes.

So much fun in fact, I decided to turn all my frozen yogurt making into an entire week of blog posts. Lucky you is right!

Let's start the week off right with a Just Another Day in Paradise original- Cinnamon Roll Frozen Yogurt.

This frozen yogurt is a delightful combination of cinnamon frozen yogurt, sweet dough flavor, and cinnamon swirls. Plus there might be itty bits of dough hiding within.

This frozen yogurt is so good that I have made a couple of times. The first time we ate it so fast that I didn't even get pictures in. Yeah, it is that good.

Okay enough talking about this yogurt, let's get to makin' some.

Cinnamon Roll Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients:

frozen yogurt
1 container of plain Greek yogurt
1 can fat free sweetened condensed milk
1 snickerdoodle cookie mix (set the cinnamon sugar packet aside)
2 TBS cinnamon sugar mixture from cinnamon swirl

cinnamon swirl
cinnamon sugar packet from cookie mix
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 TBS butter, melted

1/2 of roll of prepackaged sugar cookie dough

First in a small bowl combine the cinnamon sugar packet from the cookie mix with the 1/4 cup sugar and the1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Set aside.

Next in a larger bowl combine the yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, dry cookie mix, and 2 TBS of cinnamon sugar mix. Mix until well combined.

Pour into your ice cream maker and let it do it's job.

Now take half of the sugar cookie dough (yes I do use the dough, you can omit this part if you do worry about raw dough) and make itty bitty bite sized pieces. I rolled mine and set them on a plate. Then I let them sit in the freezer until I was ready to mix them into the finished frozen yogurt.

Right before the frozen yogurt is done, pour the melted butter into the left over cinnamon sugar mixture. This will create a kind of cinnamon syrup type stuff.

Once the frozen yogurt is done, transfer to a freezer safe container. Gently fold in the cookie dough pieces. Then drizzle the cinnamon sugar syrup over slowly and gently fold that into the frozen yogurt. This should create a swirl in the yogurt.

Place in freezer and let it set up for about an hour.

Then well, get ready...

...to have a cinnamon-tastic frozen yogurt treat.

Happy frozen yogurt eating!!

Come back tomorrow for more frozen yogurt fun.
